A 16 bed state-of-the-art Critical Care Facility was constructed to an extremely tight deadline (contract period was just 29 weeks) utilising a system build CLASP steel frame covered with energy efficient composite metal cladding. The 1000 square metre, fully air conditioned facility with sophisticated services, IT and monitoring installations was internally lined with lead composite boarding to enable X-rays to be taken insitu. In addition, the contract included sluice rooms, toilets, store rooms, a day-room for nursing staff, a visitors’ room, seminar room and consultants’ offices.
