Durtnell extended and refurbished a breast screening centre at Guildford to creat an up-to-date, modern facility.
The centre was the headquarters for the Trust and works included an office extension to house the filing of thousands of patients’ records. Reinforced steel beams had to be incorporated in the floors to handle the filing cabinets which ran on rails.
The entrance area and waiting rooms were also extended and renovated.
Durtnell’s Special Works team at Farnborough also updated ward facilities in the psychiatric unit at Frimley Park Hospital for the Trust.Breast Care Unit
