R Durtnell & Sons Ltd is a founding member of Britain's most exclusive business club - The Tercentenarians Club. Membership is only open to those businesses that have been trading continuously for 300 years or more and retain links with the founding family.

The club was founded in 1970 by Geoffrey Durtnell and Richard Early (Early’s of Witney, blankets & bedding, founded 1669). There are currently nine UK members and six foreign associates. Other members include the UK’s oldest bank, C Hoare & Co founded in 1672.
