Durtnells is renowned for its expertise in constructing and refurbishing high quality private residences. We undertake every type of new build, alteration and renovation work either through our special works or major contracts department, depending on the size of the project. Unlike many firms we still
employ fully skilled and qualified tradesmen - carpenters, joiners, decorators, specialist bricklayers etc. - ensuring that our high standards are maintained.

Many projects incorporate a significant element of joinery, which is undertaken by Durtnells modern joinery works, based at Brasted. The joinery shop employs a team of around 20 highly skilled craftsmen, producing competitively priced purpose-made architectural joinery from windows, doors and staircases to more ornate pieces, such as cupolas, screens, panelling and even circular wooden baths!
