» Environmental Policy

We acknowledge that our activities have an impact on the environment and are committed to minimising that impact by promoting the following objectives:

  • We strive to meet all relevant legislation, regulations, government guidance, and the industry code of practice on environmental policies
  • We make efficient use of natural resources by minimising waste, conserving energy and water, and seeking to use re-cycled materials where possible
  • We use and maintain modern and efficient plant and transport which have a reduced impact on the environment
  • We ensure that our staff and suppliers are aware of this policy and encourage them to apply similar environmental standards to their own work
  • We are investigating methods of re-cycling timber waste from our joinery works
  • We use timber from sustainable sources
  • We procure materials in a manner that ensures waste on site is minimised
  • We segregate different types of waste that arise from our works and recycle materials wherever practical
Considerate Contractor
Eco Friendly Flats

Durtnells subscribes to the ‘Considerate Constructors Scheme’ and has rigorous site management procedures for ensuring that we minimise the impact of our activities.

We are proactive in keeping all our sites in good order and ensuring that the surrounding area is kept free from mud and other construction debris, paying careful attention to waste and noise management. We also have a very strict policy with regard to conduct on site.
